About Me
I live in Bari, where I was born.
For a long time, my professional activity has involved research and teaching at the University of Bari Medical School.
Photography, for me, was something very private, a personal story. I used the darkroom mainly for scientific purposes, and only in my spare time for personal photography.
As a post-doc in Pennsylvania, I was strongly influenced by the American landscape. I had the opportunity to see the work of great American photographers, and was inspired by Lee Friedlander, Joel Meyerowitz, and later Richard Misrach. "America", by Jean Baudrillard, was essential for a better understanding of the country.
Not by chance, my first personal exhibition featured a selection of American landscapes.
In Bari, my hometown, I was among the founding members of the association "La Corte, fotografia e ricerca," which operated in Bari for 15 years until 2015. "La Corte" hosted solo and group exhibitions featuring both emerging and established photographers at the Castello Svevo in Bari.
My current interests revolve around exploring both pristine and altered landscapes, as well as reflecting on personal memories.
