About Me

I live in Bari where I was born.

For long time my professional activity has been research and teaching at the University of Bari Medical School.

Photography for me was something very private, a personal story.  I was utilizing the dark room mainly for scientific purpose and only in spare time for my personal photography.

As post-doc in Pennsylvania I received a strong imprinting from American landscape.  I had the opportunity of seeing the work of the great American photographers and I was influenced by the work of Lee Friedlander, Joel Meyerowitz and later  Richard Misrach. "America" by Jean Baudrillard was a key for a better understanding of the country.

Not by chance my first personal exhibition has been a selection of American landscapes.

In Bari where I live I have been one of the founders of the association "La Corte, fotografia e ricerca", active in Bari for 15 years up to 2015. "La Corte" organized  solo and group exhibition of young or already known photographers in the Castello Svevo of Bari.

My present interests are focalized on untouched or human modified landscapes and personal memories.
